SUMMARY:Join Us September 23rd Flanders Fish Market for Dinner and Press Conference
DESCRIPTION:Our September meeting will be held at Flanders Fish Market & Restaurant in East Lyme. \nPrior to the meeting\, we will hold a press conference to show support for Governor Lamont’s Fire Safe CT initiative\, which is focused on reducing fire-related tragedies through public education and local engagement. We are asking members to attend so we have a strong presence and visible support for this important effort. \nWe are also pleased to announce our special guest speaker from OneTest for Cancer\, an organization specializing in multi-cancer early detection screening through a simple blood test. Their screening can detect up to 28 different cancers by analyzing protein and inflammatory biomarkers in the blood\, providing a predictive risk analysis of increased risk within the next 12 months. \nAs leaders in Connecticut\, it is important that we explore every avenue in creating effective cancer screening programs for firefighters. This presentation will help us gain the necessary information to make the best decisions for those we serve. \nWe encourage all members to attend this important meeting and take part in the discussion.RSVP
